Police have charged a man with the manslaughter of David Cassai, who died after being king hit during a brawl on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula.
Mr Cassai, 22, died after being struck when he and his friends were confronted by a group outside a pizza shop at Rye early on Monday morning.
Police on Wednesday charged 18-year-old Dylan John Closter, of Millgrove, with manslaughter.
He also faces a charge of affray and two counts of assault.
Closter briefly appeared at an out-of-sessions police bail hearing in Melbourne on Wednesday night.
He did not apply for bail and was remanded in custody to face Melbourne Magistrates Court on Thursday morning.
Closter is the second man to be charged. A 24-year-old from Kilsyth has been charged with affray and intentionally causing injury.
He has been bailed to appear in court in February.
