Man tasered, family tied up in home invasion

A man was tasered with a stun gun and tied up along with his wife and daughter during a home invasion in Sydney's southwest.

Police say four men went to a Church Street house in Cabramatta about 8.40pm (AEDT) on Tuesday.

They then threatened the residents with a firearm, a stun gun and a crowbar.

A 59-year-old man and two women, aged 61 and 28, were tied up.

It is alleged the man was tasered with a stun gun and hit in the head.

The intruders then ransacked the house and stole cash before fleeing, giving the traumatised family a chance to call police.

Ambulance paramedics took the man to Liverpool Hospital where he was treated for facial injuries.

The women were uninjured.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
