Mine worker attacked by dingoes

A fly-in fly-out worker at the Telfer gold and copper mine in Western Australia has been attacked by three dingoes, leaving her with deep wounds to her legs, arms and body that will need plastic surgery.

The woman, a security worker, was eating lunch at a designated safe eating area on Wednesday when one dingo approached and stole her mobile phone, before two other dingoes attacked her when she went to retrieve it.

She has had two operations at Royal Perth Hospital and will need plastic surgery, The West Australian reports on Monday.
