The Queensland government will introduce its anti-bikie laws to parliament today, which includes a ban on the wearing of gang colours in public.

"I want to see organised crime gangs driven out of Queensland, but I don't want to see them pop up in another state," Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk told parliament.

"I want to see organised crime gangs driven out of the country altogether."

Ms Palaszczuk said while there was some consistency between her proposed laws and those in NSW, she would discuss the need for a "consistent national approach" at the next (Council of Australian Governments) COAG meeting.

The proposed Queensland laws will also tackle crimes involving dangerous drugs and child exploitation.

The maximum jail term for child exploitation offences would be increased from 14 to 20 years, while the maximum sentence for dangerous drug trafficking would rise from 20 to 25 years.

"These laws will be the most comprehensive organised crime laws in the country," Ms Palaszczuk said.

However, Queensland Opposition Leader Tim Nicholls said the laws were "winding back" the previous Liberal National Party government's legislation which had already been supported by the Commonwealth and other states in the High Court.
