Suspected killer croc found in north Qld

Human remains have been located inside a large crocodile that police believe killed an elderly woman in Queensland's far north.

Items belonging to Anne Cameron, and remains believed to be hers, were located last week at Craiglie Creek after the 79-year-old was last seen near an aged care facility at Craiglie, south of Port Douglas.

Police on Tuesday confirmed human remains had been found inside a 4.3-metre crocodile captured by wildlife officers near Craiglie. A report is being prepared for the coroner.
