Vic coroner to look at child car deaths

The reasons why parents unintentionally leave children in cars, causing their deaths, will be examined in the Victorian Coroner's Court.

State coroner Judge Sara Hinchey is investigating two such infant deaths, with the first case looking at a mother who thought she had dropped her son off at child care.

The inquest, which starts on Wednesday, will look at possible physiological reasons why someone could inadvertently leave a child in a car.
