Two men were arrested in Mosgiel yesterday, one after he was seen running from the scene of a copper theft and tackled to the ground by a member of the public.
Senior Sergeant Craig Brown, of Dunedin, said a 22-year-old man was apprehended by the member of the public about 2.30am near St Mary's School in Mosgiel. A second man, aged 20, was later arrested.
Both will appear in the Dunedin District Court this week on burglary charges, after copper was stolen from the school.
