'Baldrick' coming to town

Blackadder star Sir Tony Robinson has a cunning plan for Dunedin.

The English actor, who rose to prominence with his portrayal of Baldrick in the British comedy Blackadder, will visit Dunedin later this month to film a new series for the History Channel.

The show - titled Tony Robinson's Tour of Duty - will have Sir Tony exploring how war affected New Zealanders and Australians and visiting towns in the two countries to meet the relatives and friends of those who fought in battle.

Sir Tony will travel to Dunedin and while in the city will host a community event at Toitu Otago Settlers Museum on March 30 from 12.30pm-5.30pm.

Members of the public are welcome to attend.
