Emergency services were called to a shed fire at the side of State Highway 1 in Waikouaiti last night.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said crews from the Palmerston and Waikouaiti stations were notified of the fire about 7.35pm.
Some cars were believed to be in the shed, the spokesman said.
