Border collie that killed sheep identified

Police say they have identified the dog that killed sheep at a lifestyle block in Dunedin.

Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen said a border collie was caught on camera worrying sheep at a lifestyle block on Brockville Rd and Frasers Gully recently.

It chased 15 sheep around the paddock, then killed three and badly injured two others.

Snr Sgt Dinnissen said today that the dog's owners had been helpful with police and the Dunedin City Council's dog control.

Dog control were now dealing with the matter.
