After a water pipe burst in an underground plant room at Moana Pool shortly before 4.30pm yesterday, the leisure pool area, including wave pool and ‘‘lazy river’’ attractions, was closed until about 6pm.
Dunedin City Council recreation, planning and facilities manager Jendi Paterson said other pools at the complex continued to operate normally, and no evacuation was required.
Pool maintenance staff had quickly fixed the problem, Miss Paterson said.
