Butterfly game

An interactive display has been installed at the Otago Museum Tropical Forest’s Discovery Zone.

A  collaboration between the museum and Dunedin-based application developers Runaway, the display shows the game Flutter, which highlights butterfly species in the forest, a  museum report said.

The game educates the public about butterfly life cycles and provides details of the species in the forest.

The forest’s First Flight programme, through which visitors watch butterflies flying for the first time, attracted more than 1500 visitors during the school holidays.
