Showing seniors the way

The volunteer session at the Green Island SeniorNet Centre in the Lighthouse Baptist Church this week was organised by the students in conjunction with SeniorNet as part of a programme to help seniors with IT needs.

The purpose of the workshops was to help older people become more comfortable using IT and help attract more people to the SeniorNet service, IT lecturer Adon Moskal said.

The workshop was the first of what it was hoped would be an ongoing programme of IT support that could eventually be offered to the wider Dunedin community.
