Car crashes down bank Northern Motorway

    There are disruptions to traffic on Dunedin's Northern Motorway tonight, after a vehicle crashed off the road and down a steep bank.

    Fire and Emergency New Zealand and St John Ambulance staff are in attendance.

    The accident occurred on the southbound lane of the motorway, 2km north of Dunedin.

    The vehicle came to rest in bush just off the Northern Motorway.

    A police spokeswoman said emergency services were alerted about 7.45pm when a car left the road.

    No-one was injured.
