Car rolls in Aramoana

The two occupants of a car which rolled in Aramoana this morning have escaped with only minor injuries.

A police spokeswoman said they were called to the single vehicle crash at 11.58am today in Spit Rd.

The car had rolled, but the occupants were now out.

Port Chalmers deputy fire chief Cory White said he understood the driver had been changing a CD when the car shot up a bank before rolling.

"It stood on its end and came down on the roof."

There were two fire engines, two police cars and an ambulance present.

Police spoke to the driver at the scene while the passenger was being treated by St John.

Both suffered only minor cuts and abrasions.
