Car rolls in Brockville

A car travelling uphill in Brockville Rd this afternoon lost control and rolled, but ended up back on its wheels, leaving the driver and passenger with minor injuries.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand senior station officer Pete Douglas, of Dunedin, said at the scene speed and wet road conditions were suspected to be factors in the crash, which happened about 12.30pm between Sretlaw Pl and Cockerell St.

The Honda sedan was travelling uphill from Glenross towards Brockville when it ran off the road onto a verge near the Cockerell Park Recreational Reserve. It rolled once, before ending up back on its wheels, facing downhill.

The two occupants were being treated at the scene by St John for minor injuries at 1pm. Police also attended and were making inquiries.
