Charleston and all that jazz

Gearing up for a roaring night at the SPCA Great Gatsby Ball last night are friends Gemma Muldrew and Dean Delaney, both of Dunedin.By 8pm, at least 180 people dressed in the dazzling style of the 1920s jazz age were at Catacombs, in the Octagon, to raise funds for the SPCA, according to  Katherine Scott of Just For You Parties, Gifts and Costume hire, who was proud to have decked Mr Delaney out in his boater hat and pinstripe jacket.

The event culminated in about 30 performers dotted throughout the crowd breaking out in a Charleston dance.
