The results of voting at Z Mosgiel for Z's ''Good in the Hood'' programme are in.
Customers at were asked to vote in March on how $4000 should be shared between four groups: At Heart Otago, the Child Cancer Foundation, Dunedin LandSAR, and St John Taieri Area.
The Child Cancer Foundation received the most votes (nearly 38%) and will receive $1510 at a function this month.
At Heart Otago will get $562, Dunedin LandSAR $995 and St John Taieri Area $933.
Local Z retailer Jonathan Usher said the contest attracted more than 15,700 votes for four local groups ''which are doing great things in Mosgiel''.
''It was really humbling to see our customers show so much support. The funding we've been able to give these groups will continue to make a real difference in the lives of people who need that bit of extra help.''
