City’s flowers free to a good home

Jaani Allen, of Dunedin, was happy to walk away with a bucket full of free flowers from the Dunedin Railway Station which were being given away at Tahuna Park yesterday.The Dunedin City Council was changing garden plots in the city and offering up the ex-bedding plants.

People could take away either a shopping bag or bucket full of polyanthuses and pansies.

For those who missed out there, will be more free flowers available today at the Green Island Memorial Garden from noon.
