A fundraising campaign to build replica Cobb & Co coach for Waikouaiti has failed to meet its financial target.
Grant Vickers, who was leading the project, said a "Givealittle" page raised $1100 of its $40,000 target.
He had hoped to raise the sum by the end of November.
The coach had already been 80% built and was to be displayed outside the new Heritage Centre building next to the Waikouaiti Museum.
Despite being disappointed, he hoped other groups in Waikouaiti or Palmerston could be interested in fundraising and providing a venue for the coach, he said.
He asked any interested parties to get in touch.
