Polyfest, a five-day celebration of Maori and Pacific cultures, began on Monday and continues until tomorrow.
The annual schools performing arts festival, now in its 26th year, continues to draw big crowds.
By yesterday afternoon organisers said more than 4000 spectators had watched the event at the Edgar Centre and online, and several thousand more watched the event via live streaming.
More than 8000 pupils have registered as performers from schools throughout Otago.
