Concern for man's safety

Dunedin  police are concerned for the wellbeing of Thomas Padget (30), who has not been seen since last week.

He was last seen, barefoot, in the Wakari area last Friday.

Mr Padget is 178cm tall and of solid build.

``It is believed he was wearing blue and white surf shorts, a blue Canterbury-branded T-shirt and had bare feet when he was last seen in the Wakari area of Dunedin,'' police said.

``Tom has friends and family in Eastern Southland and Central Otago and has hitchhiked to travel in the past.''
