Emergency services were called following reports the driver might have been trapped following a collision with a truck near Waitati about 1.45pm, Sergeant Matt Scoles said.
The woman, who did not have life-threatening injuries, was taken to Dunedin Hospital by ambulance, Sgt Scoles said said.
A diversion was in place along Waitati Valley Rd, before the road was reopened just before 4pm.
The cause of the crash was yet to be determined and inquiries were continuing.
