Crash on icy Southern Motorway

Dunedin emergency services were called to a crash involving four cars on an icy Southern Motorway at Fairfield this morning.

A police spokeswoman said officers were notified of the collision on State Highway 1 at 7.39am and no one was hurt, she said.

The highway remains open. However, road users should drive with care.

Meanwhile, two further crashes were reported early today.

A car collided with a parked car at the intersection of Stuart St and York Pl at 2.12am, and at 2.47am a car collided with a fence in Momona.

There were no injuries either of these incidents.
