The weekend workshops were the last in a popular series aimed at creating lanterns for the annual Dunedin Midwinter Carnival on June 30.
The theme of this year’s carnival is "A Winter Tale" and brings together characters and creatures from different fairy tales.
The procession will take a different route this year to accommodate the growing popularity of the event.
It will start at First Church, move down Moray Pl, up Stuart St and around the Octagon, before returning to First Church via Princes St.
