Fire crews are in attendance at a rubbish fire in Burnside this morning.
A Fire and Emergency NZ spokesman said three appliances from Wakari Volunteer Rural Fire Force were called to a "deep-seated" rubbish fire about 7.30am.
He said it had been contained but there was a lot smoke in the area.
