A teenager will be referred to Youth Aid after a stolen car was crashed in Dunedin shortly after midnight yesterday.
Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen said police were called to Miller St, Green Island, at 12.30am after a resident thought they heard a car crash.
Police found a crashed 1992 Toyota Corona with blood inside. The occupants had left the scene.
Police dogs were able to track and locate the occupants, a 15-year-old girl who was found to be the driver, a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy.
The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
She would be referred to Youth Aid, Snr Sgt Dinnissen said.
