Caught on CCTV

A man who helped himself to a box of alcohol from a Kaikorai Valley bottle shop on Thursday evening was caught on camera, and a worker at the shop said they already  had a name for the alleged offender.

The Thirsty Liquor Valley Lodge’s CCTV system captured the man taking the 18-bottle box of Woodstock bourbon and cola about 6.30pm.

A worker at the store said after they posted the images online, a woman had got in touch with them and supplied a name.

The incident, the third such theft this year, had also been reported to police.
