Dog team nabs man on building site

A man seen acting suspiciously in a building site was apprehended by a police dog team on Sunday night.

Senior Sergeant Trevor Thomson, of Dunedin, said the dog handler was deployed after the man was seen inside the building site in Taieri Rd.

He appeared to be stacking some property on the site, Snr Sgt Thomson said.

There were three burglary reports over the weekend.

Snr Sgt Thomson said the owner of a Dodge Journey reported their DJ mixing deck had been stolen from the vehicle between November 2 and Friday.

A Concord resident reported the burglary of jewellery, alcohol and clothing from their Morris St home.

Jewellery, clothing and cash were taken during a burglary in Carlyle St, Northeast Valley, on Sunday night.
