A man has been arrested and a "large amount" of drugs recovered following a break-in at a Dunedin pharmacy.
Police said the prescription medicines were taken from Mornington Pharmacy sometime over the weekend of June 2-3.
A 32-year-old man has been arrested, police said tonight. He would appear in the Dunedin District Court tomorrow.
Several search warrants were carried out earlier this week in Dunedin, and a large amount of drugs were recovered, police said.
Detective Sergeant Dave Nelson said inquiries were continuing to establish if further charges were likely, or if anyone else helped with the burglary.
“We have received a great deal of help from the community in relation to this, and other recent burglaries, and we really appreciate this.”
Anyone with information on any offending or concerning behaviour in the community was encouraged to contact local police.
