Delta award finalist

Dunedin company Delta Utility Services is among finalists in the New Zealand Contractors Federation/Hirepool Construction Awards 2011, for its work on the Forsyth Barr Stadium pitch.

The awards recognise excellence in civil construction projects carried out by New Zealand companies at home or overseas.

The $1.61 million scheme, carried out for the Dunedin City Council, is a finalist in the category for projects with a value between $1 million and $10 million.

Winners will be announced on August 5 at the New Zealand Contractors Federation and Association of Consulting Engineers New Zealand's annual conference in Rotorua.

Our journalists are your neighbours

We are the South's eyes and ears in crucial council meetings, at court hearings, on the sidelines of sporting events and on the frontline of breaking news.

As our region faces uncharted waters in the wake of a global pandemic, Otago Daily Times continues to bring you local stories that matter.

We employ local journalists and photographers to tell your stories, as other outlets cut local coverage in favour of stories told out of Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
