Work to demolish the last part of the former Aoraki Polytechnic building at the corner of Cumberland and St Andrew Sts in Dunedin resumed yesterday.

The site is being cleared in preparation for the new Dunedin Hospital build.

Temporary fencing was also erected around the former Cadbury factory site in Cumberland St yesterday, and scaffolding was erected on the Castle St side of the building.

New Dunedin Hospital project spokesman Adam Feeley did not respond to a request for further information yesterday.
