Emergency services attend a crash in Mulford St yesterday, after a brief police chase.

The pursuit in Concord yesterday afternoon culminated in a crash near a primary school and two arrests.

A police spokeswoman said the silver Honda led officers on a brief chase through the southern Dunedin suburb before the car crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of Mulford St and Samson Rd, just around the corner from Concord School.

The driver and passenger of the Honda were both detained after the crash.

The passenger was released but the driver was charged with dangerous driving, the spokeswoman said.

He will appear in the Dunedin District Court at a later date.

St John spokeswoman Chrissy Hamilton said an ambulance attended but no transportation to hospital was required.
