Dunedin ticket wins $15k

A ticket bought in Dunedin won almost $15,000 in last night's Lotto draw.

The ticket, bought at Mornington Lotto & Post, was one of 30 that shared the Second Division prize. Each  player won $14,788.

The Dunedin winner was one of only five in the South Island, the other four all from Canterbury.

The second division payout paled in comparison with the night's big prize, the $38 million Lotto Powerball, which was split by two people with tickets bought in the North Island towns of Warkworth and Greytown.
