Ed Sheeran confirms second Dunedin show

Ed Sheeran has added a second Dunedin  show, promoters announced today.

The second show will be on Saturday, March 31, Frontier Touring has announced on Facebook.

Pre-sales for Sheeran's first Dunedin show on Thursday, March 29, sold out in 20 minutes yesterday.

The extra show means Sheeran could potentially play to 80,000 people at Forsyth Barr Stadium over the two nights.

The pop superstar is also adding extra dates in Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

General tickets for all shows, including the newly added gigs, go on-sale next Tuesday, May 23. Auckland sales kick off at 1pm, while the Dunedin sales open an hour later at 2pm.
