A Cadbury spokeswoman said the show, part of the Cadbury Chocolate Carnival, was growing in popularity each year.

This year a record 320 people bought tickets to see the 25 creations made by a mix of fashion designers and ''ordinary people'' who used Cadbury chocolate foils. Designers came from as far away as Wellington and Nelson.

The show was organised by Zonta and Cadbury, with proceeds going to the charity Friends of Children in Hospital.

The winner was Dunedin designer Jenni Thomas, whose creation Famous in Print featured pages from the Otago Daily Times and was modelled by Georgia Thomas-Milne, of Dunedin.
