Ina and 16-month-old Lotte Kinski, of Dunedin, were among about 500 cyclists who attended the sixth annual Bike Breakfast at the Dunedin Railway Station yesterday.

The event was run by Dunedin cycling advocacy group Spokes, and anyone who turned up on a bike was offered a free breakfast which included coffee, tea, fruit salad, a selection of cereals, yoghurt and croissants.

It was held as part of the Aotearoa Bike Challenge — a month-long competition for workplaces which aims to get people to ride a bike for at least 10 minutes each day.
