The Rowing for Life Aotearoa crew left Karitane yesterday as they continued on their journey up the East Coast of New Zealand. The team began their trek in Bluff on February 10 after a row from Stewart Island, and their Karitane stop marks 134km completed so far. The crew will row 3000km in five months, and are aiming to finish at Cape Reinga at the tip of the North Island by mid-July. The group is fundraising for four charities, the Lions Clubs Cancer Trust, Child Cancer, Starship, Surf Lifesaving. So far they have raised $7810 out of their $5 million goal.
