Flynn Lucas (4) was one of many children at Mosgiel Playcentre who hoed into fruit, vegetables and crackers last week to celebrate Playcentre Awareness Week (March 2-8).
The Good, Clean, Fun theme was to raise national awareness of Playcentre by concentrating community activity over a short period, and making as much noise as possible.
Mosgiel Playcentre parent Amy Clark said the centre thought it would be nice to share the celebration, so it invited new entrants at Elm Grove School across the road to join them in the healthy morning tea.
Playcentres around the country highlighted the theme by cleaning up beaches, reserves and even their neighbours' windows.
