Clearwater Civil Contractors tie the steel reinforcing for the concrete footing of a retaining wall at the site of a large slip in South Rd, beside the Southern Cemetery.

Repairs to the slip started at the end of March and are expected to be finished by the middle of next month, Dunedin City Council transport delivery manager Josh von Pein said this week.

The work would cost about $160,000 and involved clearing debris and building a new concrete wall.

It was part of the work being done to repair damage from the July 2017 and February 2018 floods, Mr von Pein said.
