Green thumbs

Jan Hart was one of many keen gardeners who braved the wet and cold weather to get their hands on a free box of bedding plants and flowers from the Dunedin Railway Station, at Tahuna Park yesterday.

An assortment of chrysanthemums, calendulas, pansies and polyanthus were given away by the Dunedin City Council because the railway station’s garden plots are being changed. More plants will be available at Tahuna Park tomorrow from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.
