The heat's on Dunedin chefs

Dunedin chefs (from left) Sam Gasson, of Moiety, Ken O'Connell, of Bracken, Greg Piner, of Vault 21, and Hannes Bareiter, of Glenfalloch Gardens, will take part in an event at The Great Kiwi Home and Living Show at Forsyth Barr Stadium.

The four will contest the Fresh Food Show's Farm to Fork competition.

The event is organised by the Otago Daily Times and Dunedin Venues.

Yesterday, the four chefs discovered what they had signed up for in November.

They have to create an entree and main, in one hour, using mystery ingredients, and cook in front of the public at the show.

All the chefs were excited about the challenge and looking forward to taking each other on and to see who would win the tastebuds of the judges.
