Hunting for a bargain

Rummaging through a hanger-full of second-hand clothes is University of Otago philosophy student Cherry Ng (21), of the United States.

Ms Ng and hundreds of other students took advantage of the unseasonably warm weather to hunt for a bargain at the Otago University Students' Association's market day in the university union courtyard yesterday.

A wide range of arts, crafts and food were also on offer.

While some students were adding to their wardrobes, others took time out to sit in the sun and listen to the live music being played.
