Jumping in time

Columba College pupil Josephine O’Halloran (13) goes through her routine during her spot at the New Zealand Sport Aerobics and Fitness open at Kavanagh College yesterday. 

About 35 people  took part in the competition, both school-aged and adult athletes.

Organiser Kerry Hockley-Remon said seven of the athletes were competing for selection in the New Zealand team which will travel to the Netherlands later this year for the world championships.

Sport aerobics combines elements of choreography and gymnastics and is performed to music.
