Despite the occasional downpour, Dunedin was bustling with people enjoying Labour Day yesterday.
Making the most of the pre-thunderstorm weather at Woodhaugh Gardens were (from left) Sonja Mitchell, Jen Wilson, David Lin (8) and Andrew Tait, along with dog Zhenka, all of Dunedin.
They marked the day at the Unions Otago Labour Day potluck picnic.

Buying potted plants at Nichols Garden Centre to make hanging baskets were Evie (12), Fin (9) and Toni Auchinvole, of Dunedin.
