Model competitors

Having a blast at the International Plastic Modellers Society Dunedin South Island Champs on Saturday are brothers Jake (15, left) and Riley (13) Marshall, of Dunedin.

Held at the Dunedin/Westpac Stadium Bowling Club, hundreds of pain-stakingly crafted models were on display, vying for the top prize in 31 classes: from military vehicles to sailing ships, to space and sci-fi models.
