Moderate injuries after collision

Police attended a collision between two cars in Princes St yesterday afternoon.

A police spokeswoman said officers were notified of the incident, at the intersection of Princes and Maitland Sts, about 3pm.

A witness said it appeared the collision happened when a car performed a U-turn and was hit on its side.

A St John spokeswoman said one ambulance was sent to the site and two people were taken to Dunedin Hospital with moderate injuries.
