Last week, Dunedin police asked the public to suggest names beginning with ‘‘K'' for their new German shepherd puppy.
The short-list of names is: Kaha, Kosta, Kohl, Kaos and Kaida.
Other favourites were Koda, Kent, Koru and Kobi.
Among other suggestions were Kopper, Kraken, Kryptonite and Kaughtya.
The name, picked by the New Zealand police dog breeding manager, will be announced on the Dunedin police Facebook page later this week.
