Hundreds of people are expected to attend Otakou marae for the annual Ngai Tahu Treaty Festival on Waitangi Day.
The annual event is shared between the three locations where Ngai Tahu signed the Treaty of Waitangi: Te Rau Aroha marae, at Awarua (Bluff), Otakou marae and at Onuku marae, Banks Peninsula.
This year's theme is Whanaungatanga, with the aim to celebrate and foster relationships within the iwi and the wider community.
The festivities would include guest speakers Te Runanga o Ngai Tahu kaiwhakahaere Mark Solomon and Dunedin Mayor Dave Cull, and feature stalls and entertainment.
A powhiri begins at 10am on Thursday, February 6.
