Dunedin couple Sam and Frederiek Heenan — now living in the Netherlands but home on a family visit — join in the festivities at last night’s Otago Medical Research Foundation annual black-tie fundraiser in Dunedin.

A crowd of about 480 people attended the event, dubbed A Night to Remember 2020, which was held at the Dunedin Town Hall.

Those attending were treated to performances by magician Jonathan Usher, acclaimed electric violinist Yoomia Sim and the world’s fastest portrait painter, Brad Blaze, as well as a meal, fundraising auction and dancing.

Organisers hoped this year’s event would top the $121,000 raised last year.
